'Tis the Season: December 2021

'Tis the season! We're right in the middle of one of the most beautiful and joyful times of the year. A time of year where we get to celebrate with loved ones, carry on traditions, and decorate our homes with cheer.

Every Christmas, for many years, my family and I would go into New York City to see the tree at Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, look at the window designs in Bloomingdales and get into the Christmas spirit. I'm personally looking forward to baking with my family and filling my home with the sweet scent of Christmas cookies!

When it comes to decorating my home, I always try to stay festive and glam (pulling inspiration from the many years of department store windows)! You can still decorate for Christmas without sacrificing design. In fact, I think festive decorations make a home feel even brighter, cozier, and beautiful.

My tree is a mixture of both silver and gold and full of sparkles! Can't have a Christmas tree without sparkle and a big angel on top! I personally love the gold tree ribbon running vertical - I think it adds a touch of elegance and of course, sparkle.

As for my mantel, I like to incorporate my family while still staying true to my decor. My 3 girls and my parents wedding picture are in two silver mirrored frames that add the most perfect sentimental touch. The focal point is definitely the silver sparkly wreath that adds glam to a more traditional decoration.

The two indoor trees are the newest addition and I think they fit the space perfectly and create a more cozy atmosphere.
