Once again, team Refeather Your Nest headed back down to North Carolina for this year’s High Point Market . For those of you who don’t know, Market is the largest home furnishing industry trade show in the world, with over 2,000 exhibits showcased across five days.
We’ve had the pleasure of attending for the past 10ish years and leave inspired every single time. This month, we’re diving into the trends we saw and what excites us for the future of design.

COLOR! No surprise here, and we love this - color was everywhere. As designers we tend to forget that a lot of people are afraid of color. But, when styled correctly, it can transform a space and bring a ton of personality. We specific saw the use of deeper, more saturated colors in all elements of design. From rugs, to fabrics to lighting - expect color coming your way!
Curves. Every edge we saw, whether that was a piece of furniture, art, case goods and even lighting - the natural curves and soft edges were all around.
Everything organic! This plays a bit into the curve trend discussed previously as a non straight edge gives everything a warmer more organic feel. This trend can show up in natural looking shapes, wood, all furniture, and art and even colors. Organic makes us think of outside and being inspired by what is natural to the earth.
Overall, we always love attending Market and get to connect with like minded designers from all over, spend quality time together and view exquisite pieces that leave us with our minds spinning with design ideas! Stay tuned to see how we bring these trends to life in upcoming projects! Until next year….
