Although many people have been focusing on the volatility of the stock market, in our world the Market means something totally different!! The Market. Susan and I are heading down to the mecca of furniture, accessories and lighting...High Point Market ( know in the industry as "Market") at the end of next week. This spring market we will be educating ourselves on the best and newest products and trends in our industry. The prep work required is a lot but the rewards will definitely outweigh the work. We will visit many showrooms and meet the well known designers responsible for this years new product launches. They will enlighten us about their inspirations for the products that they created which is so incredibly motivating.
During our trip we are going on a tour with other designers form across the United States and Canada. Not only will we be gaining invaluable knowledge from the spring launches directly from the manufactures but the education and camaraderie gained with our piers is something that makes this trip an extremely invaluable experience. We are so excited as we know we will be coming back with fresh new ideas and would love to put them into action immediately with our client base.

In our world, Market launches are at High Point not on Wall Street and they take place two times a year in the Spring and the Fall.
